How Much Is a Gold's Gym Membership in 2026?

Less than any chain of its size. We checked ten Gold's Gym location pages on October 13, 2026: Gilroy, CA; Lorton, VA; San Marcos, TX; San Antonio Live Oak, TX; San Antonio Culebra, TX; Austin Burnet, TX; McAllen, TX; Nashville Bellevue, TN; West Knoxville, TN; and Camas, WA. Each membership-options page says the same thing, that Gold's Gym offers a variety of gym membership options from month-to-month, paid in full options, term memberships and others, and tells you to contact the location. Each join page lists its plans with the dues, interval, enrollment fee and club fee filled in only once you start the online join flow, which runs through ABC Fitness.

So there is no published Gold's Gym price to quote, and any page that gives you one national figure is guessing. What is published is the structure and the fine print, which is what the rest of this page covers; the price itself is three clicks into your club's join page, and that is where to get it.

Three shapes, per the chain's own membership pages: month-to-month, which cancels on notice after any initial term; paid in full, where you pay a year up front for a lower effective monthly rate; and term memberships, usually 12 months on bi-weekly or monthly draft, which are the ones with an early-termination fee. Clubs add their own tiers (single-club or multi-club access, add-ons such as group classes and recovery) inside each shape, and promotions change what you pay to start: San Marcos advertised zero enrollment, and San Antonio Live Oak and San Marcos advertised a first month free when we checked.

The fine print is in each club's terms of agreement, and the Murfreesboro, TN terms are typical. A 12-month plan cancelled before the initial term ends carries a $149 early termination fee. Each January, at its discretion, the gym may assess a 3% cost-of-living increase on bi-weekly draft dues. On cancellation after the initial term, the member's final 30 days of dues are due. And under the statutory cooling-off clause, you can cancel by notice to the club before midnight of the third business day after signing, or the seventh day if the agreement carries a finance charge.

Enrollment and club fees are set per club and appear in the join flow; the join pages we checked break the price into an enrollment fee, a club fee and the dues, so compare all three across the plans, not just the dues.

1. Open your club's join page on goldsgym.com and pick the plan shape you want (month-to-month, paid in full or term); the dues and fees appear for that plan.
2. Note the three parts: enrollment fee, club fee and dues per interval. Bi-weekly dues times 26, divided by 12, is the monthly figure to compare with other gyms.
3. Check the promotion: a free first month or zero enrollment is worth one month's dues or the enrollment fee, and the join page states which applies.
4. Read the terms of the agreement page for your club before you sign; the early-termination fee and the January increase are there, not on the join page.
5. Compare the monthly figure with what gyms charge in general and with the clubs near you.

Through your club. Gold's Gym's cancellation request page takes a form (location, name, barcode, contact details, what you want to cancel) and says each location manages cancellations individually, with a confirmation email to follow. Expect to pay the final 30 days of dues on a month-to-month membership, the $149 early termination fee if you leave a 12-month plan early, and nothing if you cancel inside the statutory cooling-off window after signing. Freeze requests go through the same channel at the clubs that offer them.
